Pretty In Bronze

Hello and welcome to the first of eventually many colour series posts! Carli Bybel on youtube posted a video a few months ago (or weeks, can't remember) revolving around the colour red and I thought it was a great idea so all credits for the idea go to her! I decided to create a look that is based on PINK because pink is such a fun colour for spring and summer and let's be honest- not many people wear pink eyeshadow.

I wanted to incorporate pink in everything so I filmed this video for you :) I hope you enjoy it!

Hello all! It's been a while since I've posted a blog post on here... that made no sense. However, I'm going to try my best now that it's summer to actually keep up with posts. Today's post is simple; it's just a video. Here's the boyfriend tag that FINALLY went up with my amazing boyfriend Steven. I hope you enjoy it :)

Ok. I know this isn't as big of a deal as I'm about to make it seem, but I'm really excited.

Marlena AKA Makeup Geek just released her brand new foiled eyeshadows! I of course pre-ordered them and have just received mine yesterday, but I'm already in love with the formulation.

I've never owned a foiled eyeshadow before, and I've only owned two makeup geek eyeshadows in "Hipster" and "Shimma Shimma", but I knew I'd love all her stuff.  I bought ten eyeshadows, 5 foiled and 5 regular eyeshadows.

For the regular eyeshadows I got in order:

Prom Night
Glamorous
CoaCoa Bear
Mocha
Corrupt

The top is with flash and the bottom is without.







They're all super pigmented (better than Mac quality) and only $5.99 (American) each. Now moving on to the reason that I ordered. The Foiled eyeshadows.

For the foiled eyesahdows I got these colours in this order:

In the spotlight
Flame Thrower
Jester
Pegasus
Centre Stage

The top photo is with flash and the bottom is without.




As you can see the pigmentation is incredible. These are all done with one swipe and no primer whatsoever.


The foiled eyeshadows are $9.99 (USD) each.


The shipping was very fast as well. It took a week (including the weekend) to arrive at my apartment, and I live in Canada. These eyeshadows shipped from down in the states so that's really fast for the cheapest shipping option.

Overall I think Makeup Geek eyeshadows are the best single eyeshadows you can purchase, and I'm holding myself back from saying that they're the best eyeshadows in general because I don't own too big of a variety of eyeshadows.

I definitely want to try the blushes and anything else Marlena is working on!

I just posted a video talking about updates for the month, but I'll do a quick summary below.



Here's a breakdown about what I talk about in the video

1. My best friend is moving in with us temporarily (a few weeks to a month and a bit most likely

2. Because of this the apartment tour will be delayed OR I'll show the second bedroom AKA my filming room later on when she moves out (YOU can decide which one you would prefer)

3. My background/filming location will be different until she moves out and I'll be experimenting with different locations so see what works best for me and you guys

4. Uploads will stay the same (once a week) for the meantime as I might be getting a full time job on top of my other part time, but if not they'll probably turn into twice a week when I get into the swing of things.
